Organized on March 7, 1935 and incorporated on April 11, 1940, the Ingham County Conservation League was formed to actively support all forms of intelligent conservation for the Ingham County vicinity and Michigan. Because of it’s location, on January 12, 1985 the club’s name was changed to the Capital Area Sportsmen’s League (CASL). Within the CASL there are a number of active clubs for specialized areas of interest. These clubs include: Archery, Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun.

The club can only be the best when the members get involved and participate.

"The Capital Area Sportsmen's League has purchased a golf cart for use on the Sporting Clays course that is available for rent for $20.00/round. The golf cart seats four people, gun racks for four guns and a basket in front to carry bags shells."

Shooting Range Rules now online, please follow all CASL club safety rules:  The outdoor and indoor ranges at CASL are for the private use of it's members and their guests. Commercial training of any kind must be authorized by the CASL Board and requires the presentation of proper Documentation and Insurance Coverage Riders in advance. Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in revocation of Club membership and/or prosecution for criminal trespass. Outdoor shotgun ranges are open to the public only when a range officer is present on Public days.

Any use of the outdoor skeet, trap, five stand or sporting clay ranges without the prior written permission of the CASL board is prohibited. Failure to adhere to these requirements will result in revocation of Club membership and/or prosecution for criminal trespass.
